Myself and my granddaughter went this morning, The young girl we were speaking to was beautiful Inside and out, I truly see why people like this work with animals.
We adopted 2 little girls. Black & white kittens. Eight weeks old.
We name them sweet pea and stubby They are all settled in Taking a nap while I am writing this review, This is definitely the place to go to get your kittens or cats and the women. There are just fantastic with all their help.

We had a wonderful experience adopting our little girl through Philly Paws. The application was easy to fill out, and we heard from a representative within a few days to review all the details.
We also had contact with the foster parent, which helped expedite the process.
Great organization! Hope to adopt again one day!.

I adopted a kitten from PAWS just over a week ago, and the experience was fantastic! The team is incredibly supportive and clearly dedicated to the animals. I first met my kitty at an adoption event at Ciocca Subaru (thank you, Subaru!). After submitting my application online, it was approved within a week, and I had a smooth call to finalize everything. His foster family did an amazing job caring for him, and he’s adapted to our home seamlessly—no litter issues, just lots of playful, rambunctious fun. Highly recommend PAWS!

For the first time I felt racism against me in my life(Muslim) I adopted at paws before and I went there with 2 of my children I have more plus my husband not all the members of the family wasn’t present at the time of adoption now today was a requirement for everyone to be there the one missing was my oldest he had school my time of schedule I explained it is impossible he is at school very very lack of comprehension and I tried to adopt through foster but I never really get a reply or move forward so I decide to go in person and very sad and bad experience. Gonna try to do it through foster and if they denied me well I will know from who will come the denial.

I have had THE WORST EXPERIENCE trying to adopt a cat from PAWS! The fosters are horrible, ignorant, and lazy! After waiting for a month to be approved, I have had experienced nothing but constant frustration in trying to deal with the fosters.
Regardless of whether they are volunteers, they should habe the courtesy to respond to emails.
Just trying to get an initial contact with the volunteers is like playing beat the clock because you have to be the first to email. Evidently, for each pet, there are MULTIPLE people trying to adopt. If you are lucky enough to be among the first, you then have to HOPE that the fosters are responsible enough to reply to you.
I was supposed to have virtual meetings with 2 different fosters. One lied to me and told me that, although she was able to reply to my 1st email, the next one went into her spam folder. She happened to find it, after all of the kittens had already been adopted.
The other foster never bothered to send me the Zoom link.foe the virtual meeting. Other fosters didn't even have the courtesy to reply. Out of a dozen fosters, only one was courteous enough to reply.
I believe, at this point, that I am being blacklisted because I asked about FIV/FeLV testing, which this agency does not perform. However, I would be willing to pay to have it done. The fosters are too lazy to be bothered with that and just want to get the cats out as fast as possible.
This is an unethical and irresponsible.way to place animals and I will NEVER deal with PAWS again! Adopting an animal should not be aggravating and I will not allow any more of their flakes, lying volunteers to frustrate me any further!

The staff I encountered at Old City were pretty condescending, acted like it was my first time laying eyes on a cat even though I told them I raised my cat as a kitten last year and that I've lived with cats numerous times. On top of that, they strung me along about the cat I was interested in, delayed processing my application and explicitly made assumptions about my future plans even though I very directly explained them. It was like talking to a wall. Finally they emailed me right after a "clear the shelters" event to let me know the cat was adopted. I'm glad kitty found a home, I just wish the staff would've been direct and communicative instead of cagey, and put their listening ears on instead of making assumptions.
