The space goes along the Delaware River and has very dramatic views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. It was built in 1896. The views of the river are soothing and refreshing. It consists of a two-level promenade with lush plantings, many trees and perennials, as well as an amphitheater-style seating near the river's edge and plenty of benches. We rested here while visiting since we decided to walk all along the river-front.

Race Street Pier is an adventurer’s urban oasis in Philly. Imagine kicking off your day with a sunrise yoga session on the upper level, feeling the city wake up around you. Then, take a stroll down to the lower terrace, where the Delaware River whispers tales of the past. It’s a place where history and modern vibes meet, right under the majestic Ben Franklin Bridge. Whether you’re looking for a serene spot to reflect or a scenic trail to conquer, Race Street Pier is your starting line for an unforgettable city adventure.

Beautiful, calm and gorgeous view. You can spend time calmly sitting here and admiring the beautiful view. Parking can be a bit of a challenge however you will find paid parking in the near vicinity. There are few restaurants around from where you can enjoy this view while dining in.
