PHILADELPHIA, PA / MANAYUNK: for those who knew and loved Bark Social, we have got some exciting news, Fetch Park, the original dog-friendly social club with roots in Georgia, has officially found a new home in Philadelphia/Manayunk, taking over Bark Social’s former space!
Fetch Park is an outdoor off-leash dog park and bar where pups can play freely while their humans enjoy food and drinks. The park features a fully fenced-in astro turf play area with plenty of space for dogs of all sizes, Adirondack seating around the perimeter, and an enclosed section with high-top tables and TVs, perfect for watching the game and all the adorable pups making new friends. There is even a huge tennis ball dispensing machine! Food and drinks are available inside the cafe (pups must stay outside while you order).
All dogs must be fixed and up to date on vaccinations: download the Fetch Park app to register and upload records before your visit.
📋 Required vaccines: DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and Leptospirosis (including the initial shot + booster if it is your dog’s first time). It is the owner’s responsibility to monitor your dog and clean up after them.
It is always free for humans to enter, with a small fee for dogs. Monthly and yearly memberships are also available. The owner has big plans for the space, including a Jumbotron, Airstream bars, doggy daycare, and more. We cannot wait to see what is next!

We were patiently waiting for the arrival of Fetch Park! The staff has been nothing but nice and welcoming to my little guy Lars. He loves playing fetch so the tennis balls are a nice touch to the ambiance!

Fetch seems to understand dogs much better than it's predecessor. I appreciate their more realistic approach to dogs and how they interact. Bark social was a helicopter parent. Fetch is a free range parent. Bark Social catered to people who failed to properly train their dogs and that made for an extremely uncomfortable environment for those people who take their pet parenting seriously. Now some of those people have taken to leaving one star reviews complaining about fights that never happened and making up laws that dont exist. It's just a dog park people. It's not that deep. Stop expecting the world to revolve around your poorly behaved dog and train them!
Having Fetch come in to resurrect this space has been a blessing and they are doing a great job. They are just starting out and they have a few hiccups to work out but they are open to reasonable suggestion.

It's no Bark Social.. yet? I'll keep going back for now, and I'll update this as they (hopefully) get better.
The food is about the same quality as a movie theater that has entrees; they have the little soft pretzel machine with pretzels spinning around etc.
You have to pick up your own poop which is fine for me but there will definitely be people that won't. Also it's astroturf so some poop will definitely be left behind and it seems for now their answer is to aggressively brush the remaining poop with a broom. Curious how that turns out long term 💩
The ranger/dog ratio isn't as good as bark social, and at certain times the rangers had to do other tasks so at any given point in time there might not be anyone out there.
Also they have balls and a giant tennis ball dispenser, which my dog is fine with but other people have told me it's not good to have balls at a dog park (dogs that have ball aggression or are possessive etc) - you can make your own decision about this one.
They have propane heat lamps around the perimeter but they weren't on. Actually none of the outdoor heat was on. Also it doesn't look like they have the plastic "walls" for the outdoor eating area, or maybe just they don't have them up yet for the season which is fine for now.
The most curious parts of me was that their credit card machine was down and the app didn't work; you have to use an app to sign up (but it seemingly doesn't work on Android according to my friend) - so basically the two ways that they can get paid are kind of broken. I'm hoping all this gets fixed and maybe they just launched too early. As I said it seemed incredibly hard to give them money, which you think would be important for a business?
They have a full bar and the bartender was absolutely wonderful. They have a ton of indoor space but none of it's being used right now, so again I think they might just need to get up and running more/ need more time.
I'll keep this review updated as long as I keep coming back, excited to have this place back in the neighborhood so hopefully it will pull through!

Our pup hasn’t been as excited to play as he was on opening night at Fetch! The space is perfect and well maintained with lots of space to run and play with other dogs. The new management is lovely and have made themselves known on all 3 of our visits. They have a formula that works in Georgia and looking forward to seeing their plans in the coming weeks and months. Welcome to the neighborhood! We are thrilled that you’re here.
