Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Anima Pet Supply and was met with absolutely fantastic service. I’m a mom to a four year old GSD, and K was excellent at showing me different foods, explaining what they all stand for, and pointing out some of the best treat makers in town! She has an abundant collection of all sorts I swear I mentally bought the entire store 😂. Seriously, if you’re someone who loves spoiling your pet, prepare to be tempted by everything in there. One thing that really stood out to me is how community oriented K is. She addresses everyone by name as soon as she learns it. Usually people mispronounce mine, but she got it right on the nose the first time! That level of attentiveness really says a lot about how much she values the people who come through the door. She’s also incredibly passionate about her work, and it truly pours out of her. You can feel that this isn’t just a job for her it’s something she genuinely loves. That kind of energy makes the whole experience feel welcoming and personal. When you visit Anima, you’re bound to leave with great products and a lovely connection moving forward. Ricochet and I will most certainly be returning. You can tell the entire staff is genuinely excited about the service they provide, and that makes such a difference. And for my fellow GSD owners and enthusiasts Anima has an extraordinary collection of natural animal parts and treats, and the store is very accommodating for large dogs as well. It’s honestly a great spot for anyone with a big pup who likes quality options.

Great selection and super nice store owner!! He recommended this rabbit fur cat toy. I have never seen my cat so excited 😂 he loves it!

I loved this store. I wish we had one like this in LA. They have such a huge and high-quality collection of bandanas, clothes, hats, and pretty much everything you can think of. Their treats and food also looked really good. Overall, it’s an amazing spot for all of us animal lovers. I got a Philly bandana for my dog who’s super into bandanas and he loved it.

Go to Sprouts Farmers Market or Giant to buy my dog’s food, but I came across this store on a stroll and decided to check it out and I’m so glad I did!! The two ladies greeted me immediately, and I always love to feel welcomed by any establishment that I’m interested in. I mean, who doesn’t. That is a plus for me, always. They were very knowledgeable, very kind, very engaging and they were also really helpful with the advice they gave me for being a new dog mom to my now 1 year old dog, Blue 🐾🐕‍🦺. A few things I got was a pack of dog treats as well as A bit of food and two toys and I lie to you not, my dog loves every single item I purchased! He loves the treats, He loves the natural organic food (that I got for free by the way from the store). The food that I had got was their very own personal brand and I thought it was a very kind gesture to be given it for free! I do want to add I already noticed a change in his poop, so I can tell the food definitely has natural healthy authentic ingredients. I never seen my dog enjoy his food like this ever. Did I mention he loves the toys as well?! If the ladies that assisted me at the store are reading this review, thank you so much for a pleasant experience in such a short moment. I’ll definitely be coming back because this store is now my primary source where I’ll get majority of my pet food. Thank you for providing me with good service, and natural healthy food for people’s pets in general. You’re helping me love my dog the proper way. 😊

It actually pains me to write this review, but I will not be shopping here again. Every interaction I have had with the owner has left me feeling.. well, weird. She talks over you, cuts you off, and does not let you get a word in. And the time before literally just now, she sold me cat food she was positive was almost identical to a brand I was looking for despite me telling her the food I was looking for was not a pate. Again, she barely let me get a word in, cut me off and assured me it was just like I was describing. Except it was not. It was a pate and my cat got sick because that does not agree with her stomach. She is always super “busy” but I have never been inside with more than one other customer before.. It is rude. Edit: as you cannot, reply directly to comments. Almost everything the owner is replying with is inaccurate, except for the fact that it was my cats birthday and that I did in fact help a young man wandering the street with the name of the pet store written down on a piece of paper and helped him find the store. Which I immediately regretted when I overheard the owner make a comment about him barely speaking English… which he did. He just had an accent. So disappointed. I do not recommend at all.

The absolute sweetest owner and team in Philly! We have been customers for over a year, and they feel like part of our family, even going above and beyond to allowing us to store pet food in their freezer because ours is too small. They know us by name, and were even so excited to welcome our newborn to the world. Thank you Anima for keeping our two dogs healthy and fed, and for helping a young couple with a newborn get through the day to day.
