Great spot to park and access the trails, whether you want a route that goes north or south. Plenty of options for easy or more strenuous hikes, and access to both sides of the creek right at the bottom of the hill since theres a bridge. There's plenty of space on the street to park so no issues even when a lot of folks are out. Seems like a safer place than most trailheads since it's in a neighborhood where people would notice if there were car break ins, unlike many other trailheads. No restrooms or portapotties nearby though. The trailhead and main Forbidden Drive have sporadic lighting if you are visiting after the sun sets.

Street parking only at this trail entrance which is a bit hidden in a residential neighborhood. The trail in is wide and rocky with a steady decline. This is a great place to start for access to many of the other trails in the park - easy to make a loop hike!

We like this trail entrance because of the quick access to the fingerspan bridge and rock climber's rock. The trails are definitely a little more technical than some of the others in the park, which we also enjoy. That said if you're not good with heights, lots and lots of rocks, or parking on the street, than this might not be the entrance for you

Clear of fallen branches, and mostly clear of storm debris, this trail entrance remains one of our favorites. The leaves are starting to fall, but it's still pretty green in the woods, so the steep rocky main trail in and out of this entrance is I'll pretty clear. Just take your time in wetter weather!
