Nice playground located across from Pat's and Geno's, with a basketball court. There is limited shade and the restrooms are only open after 1 pm. Unfortunately, they remained locked even after this hour, and there were instances of men sleeping on the benches.

Best Outdoor Basketball Court in Philly. Always bright because of local businesses. Consistent amount of people around. Surrounded by trees.

Fun time at the park last night watching the cast and crew film the upcoming movie "Hustle." The movie is being produced by Adam Sandler and LeBron James and directed by South Philly's own Jeremiah Zager. Film will also star Queen Latifah, Robert Duvall, Ben Foster and several NBA players. The park is located right across from Pat's and Gino's. When open to the public, they have large soccer fields, basketball courts, a playground and a sprayground. There are bathrooms on the premises.

Interesting history on this plot of land, this used to be Lafayette Cemetery for about 100 years. I wonder if they would find some of the bodies that were unaccounted for still underground. 🫣

This is a cute playground just south of the Italian market. Nice playground structures with a large field for soccer and a basketball court. One star taken off because often times, people will bring their food and drinks to the playground and leave a ton of trash behind. This is especially bad on the weekends with the foot traffic from cheesesteak places and other nearby restaurants.
