"The cat room is small and more than 6 (plus attendants) it gets cramped quickly."
"The chai on draft is good and I can’t wait to try other options + the pastries!"
Amazing Cat Cafe in South Philly!
I recently visited Get A Gato after seeing them on instagram and other socials for a while. My day off fell on one of their midweek specials where 1hr admission is only $9 when you book through their website. The staff was super nice and helped you engage with/learn about all of the cats. I went at 10am and the cats were a good mix of playful, interactive, and chill. There are plenty of places to sit, cat themed books to read, binders full of their past cat adoptions, and cat toys. This is a great place to go if you’re looking to pet cats or just do your own thing around them. Their small cafe is also great with small treats and good drinks. I got their matcha latte with mango puree and it was perfectly creamy and sweet (they take the time to actually whisk the matcha rather than just stir it in like many other places)! I will definitely be back for another mental health day/relaxing day!

Really great drinks, caring staff and incredible kitties! Stopped by last week when I was in town and the ube matcha was divine! Now I’m back in Atlanta plotting to go back cuz I need that matcha again and I want to try all of the other drinks!
The staff are so knowledgeable about each cat, knowing all of their little quirks and making sure that the right safety precautions are taken. Can’t wait to come back!!!

I have been going to this cat cafe for years and finally adopted my first cat with them recently. Her name was Latoya when she was adopted, but now her name is Tilly (short for Matilda). I always have a pleasant experience: the coffee and tea is always so good, the gift shop is adorable, and the cat cafe is always so well maintained, plus the staff is always friendly! I believe the price to be fair for an hour inside the cat lounge, and there are plenty of events that you can sign up for to be a part of the get a gato community!! I 100% recommend being a regular here and adopting with them!

We had a great experience. Coffee beverages tasted delicious. We got a latte, a chai, matcha and kombucha. All of them delighted us and we are fairly picky about coffee drinks. Cat area was clean, well appointed for the cats and rules made clear. Each cat has a name tag and there are personality descriptions. We went into the cat room with four people and everyone loved it.

I’ve been to this cat cafe multiple times. Writing this review for others who want to go to an accepting, kind and clean place this is where to go. I haven’t tried the food or drinks but where you hangout with the cats it’s kept super clean and they have so many toys and places for the cats to be comfy. I’m big on feeling comfortable and not judge going to new places and the staff is so nice. Overall the best cat cafe I’ve been to!!

This place is so sweet! We spent an hour with the cats and loved every second of it. The owner (I believe) was so caring and affectionate with all of them, which made the experience even sweeter. The space was warm, clean, and so inviting. We also tried the coffee and it was delicious. I could honestly spend every day here!
