Jacobs playground needs some work, including the bathroom. The children still enjoy playing on the playground equipment. The pool in the summer time, is a great way to cool off. There's the free swim (open to public) monday through friday; from 1pm-5pm, family swim from 5pm-6pm, adult 6pm-7pm. Also the pool hours for the weekends is 12pm-5pm.

Our favorite playground in the area and the pool is never super crowded.

The grands & kids go there to swim from time to time. They like it, & its convienent to the 66 bus, if they take that.. The staff put away my 1 grands cover-up for safe keeping, as she accidently left it. That was nice they saved it, & we went to pick it up on Monday.. TY Art, & staff.

The playground needs to be replaced. The swings are broken and the jungle gym equipment is old. There is a pool that gets some limited use in the summer but it's filthy and bug ridden. No chairs allowed. People and their stuff sit on the dirty concrete against a rusted fence. Next lot over there is some old broken down construction equipment. Ivy grows on the fence of the baseball and softball fields. Bees maraud the trash cans. You get the picture.
Unfortunately, this is one of the worst recreational facilities in the area.
UPDATE 3/21: NEW playground equipment! Philly parks comes though!

The playground is completely out dated. The turf around the Slides and swings bubbles and kids are constantly tripping. My 18 month old tripped on the turf and smacked his head really hard on the steps to the climber. I was hoping for a fun day, not a trip to the ER.
